We are currently seeking to recruit a talented and motivated sales assistant for a full-time position at our firm based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Building Materials Sales Assistant

Job Summary

The Building Materials Sales Assistant will provide support to customers and the sales team by helping to identify client needs, locating appropriate products, preparing quotes, and handling transactions. The role requires product knowledge, and customer service skills

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service:
  • Greet and assist customers in person, by phone, or email.
  • Provide advice and product recommendations based on customer needs.
  • Resolve customer complaints or direct them to the appropriate personnel.
• Sales Support:
  • Assist sales architect with pricing, product information, and inventory checks.
  • Process orders, invoices, and returns.
  • Prepare quotations and follow up with customers.
• Inventory Management:
  • Help monitor stock levels and notify supervisors of low or excess inventory.
  • Assist in receiving, unpacking, and stocking deliveries.
  • Ensure the sales floor and storage areas are organized and well-stocked.
• Product Knowledge:
  • Develop a strong understanding of building materials.
  • Stay updated on new products and industry trends.
• Administrative Duties:
  • Maintain accurate sales records and reports.
  • Use point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
  • Handle cash and card payments when necessary.

    

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience in retail or building materials sales is advantageous.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Knowledge of construction terminology and materials is a plus.
